Who's behind this page
The data controller for your information is Salersons Ltd., a Cyprus private limited company (registration no. HE 423456) with its office at Spyrou Kyprianou 25, Limassol 4001. We process personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Cyprus Law 125(I)/2018 implementing it.
What we collect
When you apply, we collect the contents of the form you submit and any CV or attachment you choose to send us. That typically includes your name, contact details, current and previous employers, dates of employment, languages, and self-reported sales performance. We do not collect anything from you that you do not voluntarily provide.
Like most sites, our hosting provider records standard server logs — IP address, browser type, and pages visited. We do not run advertising trackers and we do not place third-party cookies on your device.
Why we collect it · legal basis
One purpose: to introduce you to companies that may be hiring for roles matching the description you gave us. Under GDPR, our legal bases are: your consent when you submit the form and again before we name you to a specific employer; and our legitimate interest in operating a placement agency under Cyprus Law 126(I)/2012. We do not use your information for marketing, profiling, or training of any automated system.
Who we share with
We share a tailored summary of your profile, and where appropriate a redacted version of your CV, only with named hiring companies you have agreed in writing we may approach. We confirm the company by name in advance every time. We do not maintain a public database, we do not sell candidate data, and we do not post your CV to job boards.
Some of the hiring companies we work with are located outside the European Economic Area (Dubai, Manila, Serbia, the United Kingdom). Where we transfer your CV to such a company, we do so on the basis of your specific consent and, where required, under GDPR-approved Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep it
We keep active candidate files for up to twenty-four months from your last contact with us, so that we can reach out when a relevant role opens. After that, files are deleted from our systems. You can ask us to delete your file earlier at any time by writing to support@salersons.com.
Your rights
- Right to access — ask to see what we hold about you.
- Right to rectification — ask us to correct anything that's wrong.
- Right to erasure — ask us to delete your file. We will, within ten business days.
- Right to restrict or object — pause our processing, or stop introductions to specific companies.
- Right to data portability — receive a machine-readable copy of your file.
- Right to withdraw consent at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal.
- Right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection of the Republic of Cyprus — dataprotection.gov.cy.
Security
Candidate files are stored on encrypted servers within the European Union, with access limited to the small number of Salersons staff actively working on placements. We use multi-factor authentication on every account that can read candidate data. We have never had a known breach. If we do, we will notify the Commissioner for Personal Data Protection and any affected candidates within seventy-two hours, as GDPR requires.
